We are in need of an Apache Cassandra Developer (m/f/d), a German speaker.
Start date ASAP/June
Duration: ca. 4 weeks in total
Location: 100% remote
Language: German
Interviews: One-stage Teams interview with decision on short notice
Utilization: ca. 12-15 days in total*
*Full-time initially for the first 1-2 weeks, but perhaps more sporadically towards the end, as the analysis or the results trigger follow-up activities for the client that need to be accompanied.

Project background:
For an analysis project due to operational problems, our client is looking for an Apache Cassandra specialist with the below skillset for a short-term utilization..
Expertise:
– Extensive experience with Apache Cassandra
– Knowledge of data modelling for NoSQL databases
– Ability to implement database solutions that are highly available and scalable
Technical skills:
– Proficiency in CQL (Cassandra Query Language)
– Experience with data migration and backup strategies
– Knowledge of performance optimization and tuning of Cassandra clusters
Development experience:
– Experience integrating Cassandra into existing applications
– Ability to develop RESTful APIs or other interfaces
– Understanding of microservices architectures and how they interact with Cassandra
Operational competencies:
– Experience in monitoring and operating Cassandra clusters
– Knowledge of troubleshooting and dealing with downtime
Dealing with Tombstones:
– Understanding the life cycle of tombstones in Cassandra
– Knowledge of the impact of tombstones on performance and disk space consumption
