About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated C++ Software Developer to join our team and work on creating visual software components for emission measurement applications. This position is primarily remote (95%) with occasional on-site requirements (5%) for testing and operational purposes. The role involves developing components for C++ Builder 11 (or Delphi) that will be used in emission measurement stations. These applications run on Windows PCs and communicate with external devices via USB/Bluetooth to collect real-time data from combustion engines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize visual software components for the C++ Builder 11 development tool (or Delphi).
• Implement components for applications that run on Windows in emission measurement stations.
• Ensure seamless communication between the application and emission measurement devices through USB/Bluetooth.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Perform on-site testing and operational handling in the Czech Republic (1-2 times per month).
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues related to emission measurement.
• Maintain clear documentation and adhere to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in C++, with experience in C++ Builder 11 or Delphi.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and practices for PC applications running on Windows.
• Experience with device communication via USB/Bluetooth.
• Familiarity with creating components for applications related to combustion engine emissions is a strong plus.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Czech or Slovak language skills are highly preferred.
• Candidates must be from the EU, as no visa sponsorship is available.
• The perfect candidates are Czech/Slovak nationals with high-standard C++ programming skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to travel for on-site testing (1-2 times per month within the Czech Republic).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in emission control systems or automotive measurement systems.
• Knowledge of data communication between applications and external devices (e.g., collecting data like speed or temperature from a car).
• Proficiency in other programming languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools for version control, continuous integration, and development workflows.
