Project Description/Procedural Context:
The contractor’s (service provider’s) services are provided for the Maksi FM application. The Maksi FM application is used in the Driving and Building process. It supports the timetable planners in the creation of conflict-free timetable concepts in connection with construction measures.
The Maksi FM application is currently running on individual EC2 instances with a Docker image in the AWS Cloud.
The goal of the project is to work with the vendor of the software to migrate the application to a new architecture. The target state is to be an ECS cluster with a pipeline.
Task Description:
The service provider shall provide the following services:
– Deployment of an application based on existing containers as ECS Cluster around AWS environment.
– Development & Deployment of a pipeline using Gitlab-CI or similar for automatic deployments of the application.
– Establish full monitoring of the state of applications in the container, using Amazon CloudWatch alarms & logs or AWS Lambda.

Place of performance (or project location):
The place of performance is Berlin. It is intended by the project that the services will be provided remotely from Germany. The breakdown between remote and onsite can be found in the tender tool.
Onsite activities are technically justified as follows:
The team supporting the application meets onsite every 4 weeks for two days, either in Berlin or Erfurt. For better exchange and collaboration, on-site attendance would be desirable. The remaining weeks, the service provision can be done exclusively remotely.
