A large global company is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a long-term project to create conditions for the introduction and implementation of container technologies.
This will be a 12 months+ long contract opportunity, with the possibility for multiple extensions.
The role can be worked on a hybrid/remote basis, with 50% onsite attendance required in Berlin, Germany and 50% remote working.
Fluent German speaking is mandatory.
Responsibilities/Deliverables:
– Creation of the basic requirements and general conditions for the introduction of container technology as well as supporting the implementation.
– Work closely with the department responsible for the support of specialist procedures and the internal container project group – providing consultation and support in the introduction of container technology.
– Focus on consulting and design services – concentrating on the introduction of upcoming IT procedures with container technology.
Key Skills / Responsibilities will include:
– Networks and Infrastructure Systems – Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher, RKE2, Red Hat Openshift, VMware Tanzu, ArgoCD, Neuvector, Prometheus Stack, Grafana, Helm.
– API gateways such as traefik, Kong, Ingress
– DevOps, automation and scaling – Security solutions (KastenK10)
– Extensive knowledge and experience in the field of container technology, software (process) and platform operation (infrastructure operation) of at least 5 years is expected.
– Conception, description and realization of complex system and software architectures
– Conception, modelling, design and implementation of web services, apps, portals, etc.
– Introduction and implementation of authentication and identification management solutions
– Current technical standards, protocols and architectural approaches, such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JEE, .NET, XML, SOAP, LDAP, etc.
