Key Responsibilities
• Lead Migration Project: Take ownership of the migration project, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
• Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical knowledge in Kubernetes and AWS, solving complex challenges and optimizing the migration process.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and achieve project goals.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring and logging systems, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the migration process, configurations, and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
• Kubernetes: Expert-level understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and management.
• AWS: Extensive experience with AWS services and architecture, particularly in managing infrastructure and services.
• Leadership: Proven leadership experience, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
• DevOps Practices: Strong background in DevOps practices, including infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus, though not mandatory.
Tools and Technologies Migrated
• Compute: Virtual Machines (VMs) to AWS EC2
• Storage: On-premises file storage to AWS S3 or EFS
• Databases: On-premises databases to AWS RDS or DynamoDB
• Networking: On-premises network configurations to AWS VPC
• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes setups to Amazon EKS
• Security: Local security policies to AWS IAM, KMS, and AWS WAF
