Currently, we are searching for an Observability DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) for our client.
Allow me to provide a brief overview of the project:
Project Start: ASAP
Project Duration: 6 months + Option for Extension
Project Engagement: Fulltime
Project Location: Remote
Background:
Do you love to dig into every single detail, automate as much as possible, share your knowledge, and are a team player? — Then, the team of the Monitoring Data Lake wants your support as Observability DevOps Engineer. We are building an Open Telemetry based routing solution, fully containerized in Kubernetes, deployed with a fingertip via Helm, and follows the infrastructure as code principle.
As a team member of the Cloud Platform Monitoring CoreDev team, you’ll take over responsibilities around an internal globally distributed Data Routing Layer:
• Work as part of a diverse and open-minded virtual SCRUM team and drive topics from a DevOps perspective
• Automation focusses on pipeline based deployment of software components and infrastructure automation, including containerization, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code, and adopting CI/CD based workflows
• Optimization on data ingestion of high load observability data streams like logs, metrics and traces
• Evolve the whole stack and drive innovation
Qualifications:
• Knowledge in Open Telemetry standards and Open Telemetry Collectors
• Advanced knowledge in Linux Operating System & Containers (preferred Docker)
• Advanced knowledge in infrastructure automation (Kubernetes & Helm)
• Knowledge and experience in cloud-native principles, cloud development & automation, including APIs, REST, Continuous Delivery, GitHub etc.
• Public Cloud experience
• Gathered first experience in message broker technology, e.g. Apache Kafka
• Deep Experience on Elastic Stack is a plus (also possible via subcontractors)
• Fluent English language skills oral, written in presentation, and analytical skills
