An automotive client of mine based in the Wolfsburg area is currently looking for an FPGA Engineer to join them for a automotive radar project.
The project will be a minimum of 12 months and be fully remote.
Below is a breakdown of the project:
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **FPGA Development:**
– Design, implement, and verify FPGA firmware for automotive radar systems.
– Develop high-performance digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for radar data processing.
2. **System Integration:**
– Integrate FPGA designs with radar hardware and software components.
– Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
3. **Optimization and Performance Tuning:**
– Optimize FPGA designs for power efficiency, speed, and resource utilization.
– Conduct performance analysis and refine algorithms to improve radar system performance.
4. **Debugging and Troubleshooting:**
– Perform debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in FPGA designs.
– Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to ensure reliable and robust FPGA operation.
– **Experience:**
– Proven experience with FPGA platforms such as Xilinx, Altera (Intel), or similar.
– Experience in the automotive industry, specifically with radar systems, is highly desirable.
**Skills:**
– Proficiency in HDL languages (VHDL, Verilog) and FPGA design tools (Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim).
– Strong understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) and radar signal processing algorithms.
– Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (e.g., LVDS, PCIe, Ethernet).
