The operator is responsible to run and maintain the infrastructure in line with the engineering and operational requirements as they are documented. The operation is intended to be script based, to simplify maintenance through increased efficiency as well as to standardize the work and reduce human error. The operator requires to understand the automated procedures and how to use them.
        – Using their knowledge, the Compute Operator will actively analyze the status of the environment as defined in the processes and documentation. In case that the systems do not report the status as expected or behave different as expected the operator maintains the environments as defined within the runbooks. Other areas which can be seen as preferred are experience in the operation of virtualized environments (not cloud environments)
