        Position Summary:

        SW Verification Engineer collaborates to effectively design new class IIb medical devices. The focus will be to support the design and development team by maintaining a V&V program for new product development. He/She will be responsible for writing, reviewing, and executing verification and validation test protocols in accordance with company quality procedures. This position involves working cross-functionally as part of the verification team in a fast-paced exciting development project about a new Heart-Lung Machine.

        General Responsibilities:

        ?Develop verification strategies for medical devices with focus on software-driven electromechanical components at sub-system and system level

        ?Writing and reviewing verification test protocols, by selecting and using effective tools, methods and applicable test standards.

        ?Create test equipment, fixtures including design of software and/or hardware.

        ?Automate test cases and maintain automation scripts for future SW versions.

        ?Write and release final report

        Skills and Experience:

        ?Master’s degree in electrical, Mechanical or Medical Engineering or related disciplines or comparable background

        ?At least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably accrued in medical devices companies

        ?Working knowledge of test management tools such as Polarion, Doors, etc.

        ?Create, review and optimize reusable test cases by developing test environments and scenarios

        ?Experience with CAN-Bus communication

        ?Good experience with Test automation using Vector tools: CAPL, VTestStudio

        ?Test setup creation and maintenance

        ?Understanding of safety critical environments

        ?Experience in IEC and IEC 62304 is a plus

        ?Methodical documentation skills

        ?Good troubleshooting skills

        ?Self-Starter, self-motivated, hands-on person

        ?Ability to work within teams and contribute to success

        ?Fluency in English (written and spoken), German language is a plus
